"Ecole Les Roches," an international institute for young people, was founded in by Marcel and Jean-Pierre Clivaz. During its first years, the school became very well recognized throughout France and Italy, and a few years later, students from Europe and the United States began attending the school as well. Within five years, annual enrollment had increased to students hailing from countries and five continents.

In , Les Roches International School became Les Roches Hotel and Tourism School, with instruction in English. In , the school opened the present main academic building.
