Job Title : Associate Professor (Management and Finance)

Job Summary

Male Business School is a small college located in the heart of Male, the capital of the Maldives. It has a popular portfolio of courses in business management, HRM, marketing, banking, finance, IT and media
Male Business School is seking qualified and enthusiastic applicants for immediate start for the position of Associate Professor (Management and finance). The job requires teaching planning, teaching assessment and work related to student learning.
Salary : USD /= per month
Accommodation : Provided or given an allowance of MVR ,/=
Over time : Calculated based on basic salary and paid in MVR
Return ticket : To Colombo upon completion of months of service
Sick leave and emergency leave : days per year
Annual leave : calendar days
Period : year from the hire date, renewable every year
Hire date : June
Work hours : : hours to : hours, Saturday to Thursday. This schedule may change to accommodate the needs of the school.

Other paid work : Not allowed.

Key Requirements

MBA or Masters in relevant subjects
Must be able to teach general management subjets and accounting and finance
Must have excellent command of spoken and written English
Must be in good health and free from disabilities
Must be free from commitments that require frequent attention or travel
Must have a valid passport and be willing to re-locate to Male, Maldives within days after accepting the job offer
The position may involve travel within the country

Duties

Teaching planning and preperation

Making schemes of work
Making lesson plans
Making resource materials including PowerPoint presentations, handouts and worksheets

Teaching

Lesson delivery
Tutoring weak students

Accessing

Preparing assessment briefs according to the Schools academic standards and curricular criteria
Preparing assessment evaluation rubrics
Tutoring students on assessment activities
Marking and grading assessment activities
Preparing and keeping assessment records for internal and external verification

Giving feedback to students

Giving feedback to students on attendance, participation in class, and assessment activities
Engaging students in studies online on the student approval

Participating in professional development

Attending professional development programs
Participating in planning own professional development activities

Services

Working on committees
Attending meetings, conferences, fairs and other promotional activities
Preparing reports

Qualifications

MBA or Masters in relevant field
